Silk Scarf Care Guide: Keep Your Stock Looking New
Whether you carry real silk or our best-selling faux-silk satin and organza scarves, how you store and clean them decides how long they stay sellable. This guide covers both, so your inventory arrives at the customer looking brand new.
Daily Handling
- Keep scarves away from perfume, deodorant, and direct sunlight (fades dye).
- Hang or lay flat; avoid wire hangers that leave marks.
- Store in breathable cotton bags, not plastic.
Washing Faux-Silk (Satin & Organza)
Our satin and organza are easy-care: hand-wash or machine on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, cold water. Lay flat to dry. They resist wrinkling better than real silk and hold color through many washes — a big plus for volume wholesale.
Washing Real Silk (When You Stock It)
Real mulberry silk needs more care: hand-wash only, use a silk-specific detergent, never wring, dry in shade. We will publish a dedicated silk line soon; until then our satin gives the look with far simpler care.
Ironing & Storage
Iron faux-silk on low heat while slightly damp. For real silk, use the silk setting with a press cloth. Store seasonal stock in a cool, dry place and rotate — scarves have no expiry, but dye loves stable conditions.
